What is Team Chat?
Team Chat lets you and your team communicate in real time without ever leaving FreedomSoft — so conversations about deals, records, and tasks stay right where the work is happening. Instead of switching between email threads or separate messaging apps, everything stays connected to the deals and records you're already working in.
Opening Team Chat
Click Team Chat in the top navigation. The chat opens as a pop-up window on top of your current page.
If clicking Team Chat shows an upgrade prompt instead of opening chat, Team Chat is an add-on that hasn't been enabled for your account yet. Contact your account owner to unlock it.
Getting Around the Team Chat Window
- The left sidebar lists all your conversations, grouped into sections.
- The right side shows the conversation you've selected.
- When you open replies on a message, a thread panel slides in on the right.
Pop It Out
Want chat visible while you work in FreedomSoft? Click the pop-out button in the conversation header to open Team Chat as its own standalone browser window.
Good to Know
Team Chat is always accessible from the top navigation once it's enabled — you don't need to keep a separate tab open.
