FreedomSoft makes it easy to attach phone numbers to your direct mail and Mail Sequences so you can capture inbound calls and track leads automatically. This guide explains how to assign a phone number—either internal or external—to your mail campaigns for consistent lead capture. You’ll just need two things ready before you begin:

A phone number (FreedomSoft number or external number).
- Don’t have one yet? Learn how to set up a phone number. -
A FreedomSoft campaign (this is where inbound call leads will be captured).
- Haven’t created a campaign yet? Learn how to create a campaign.
Once you have both in place, follow these steps to attach the number to a pre-built or custom direct mail sequence.
How to Attach a Number to a Sequence

In Settings, navigate to Mail Sequences in the left pane.

Click the pencil icon to edit any active sequence.
3. Next, click the pencil icon to edit any step that needs a phone number.

4. Choose the phone source that will be used for inbound lead capture (To receive the inbound call and capture the lead in FreedomSoft, we recommend using Option 1):

Option 1: A FreedomSoft number linked to a campaign (recommended).

Option 2: An external number outside of FreedomSoft.

Note: When you have a FreedomSoft phone number linked to a campaign, it will automatically display in the Lead Campaign Phone field for that sequence step.
