How to Bulk Add or Remove Tags in FreedomSoft

Any search screen in FreedomSoft, including Leads, Properties, Projects, Buyers, Buyer Leads, and Contacts, can add or remove a tag across the records you select.

Tag Multiple Records at Once

  1. Go to the search screen and narrow the results to the records you want. Filters and searches work as usual.

  2. Select the records, or use the header checkbox to select the entire list.

  3. Open More Actions and choose Add Tag or Remove Tag.

  4. The window opens with your account’s tags listed. Type to narrow the list, click the tag you want, or type a new name.
  5. Click Add Tag or Remove Tag to run the action.

What Happens to Records That Do Not Match

  • Add Tag skips records that already carry the tag. No duplicates are created, and no error occurs.
  • Remove Tag skips records that do not carry the tag. It is safe to run the action across a mixed list.

Very Large Selections

For selections of more than about 10,000 records, the job moves to the background and you will see a message indicating that it is being processed.

The tags will be applied shortly afterward. Do not run the action a second time.

Good to Know

  • Typing a name that does not exist yet creates the tag, just as it would when tagging a single record.

Conclusion

Bulk tagging allows you to add or remove the same tag from many selected records at once instead of updating each record individually.
