Overview
FreedomSoft allows you to generate a Proof of Funds letter directly from any lead or property record. Letters are available for both house and vacant land deals in most U.S. states. The entire process takes less than a minute.
State Availability
Proof of Funds letters are available in all U.S. states except the following:
- Nevada
- South Dakota
- Utah
- Vermont
How to Generate a Proof of Funds Letter
- Open the lead or property record you need the letter for
- Click the orange More Actions button
- Select Generate Proof of Funds from the dropdown menu
- A form will appear pre-filled with the property details from your record and your company profile — review each field and update anything that should read differently on the letter
- Complete the remaining fields:
- Borrower Type — select Individual or Entity from the dropdown
- Prospective Borrower — enter the borrower name
- Borrower Address — enter the borrower's address
- Maximum Purchase Price — enter the purchase price for the letter
- Check the acknowledgment box at the bottom confirming the letter is being requested for a non-owner occupied property for business purposes
- Click the blue Generate Proof of Funds button
Where to Find Your Letter After It Is Generated
Once created, your Proof of Funds letter will be saved automatically to the record. To access it:
- Stay on the same lead or property record
- Look for Attachments in the left side navigation
- Click Attachments — your letter will be listed there and available to download or share
Important Notes
- The property address, city, state, and zip pre-fill automatically from your lead record and company profile — double check these before generating
- Letters are not available in Nevada, South Dakota, Utah, or Vermont
- The acknowledgment checkbox must be checked before the Generate button will complete the request
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I edit the letter after it has been generated?
No. If you need changes, return to the record, go through the Generate Proof of Funds process again with the corrected information, and a new version will be created.
Does this work for both houses and land deals?
Yes. Proof of Funds letters are available for both residential house deals and vacant land deals in all eligible states.
