FreedomSoft has been built in a way that allows you to easily tell which records in your account are Prospects and which records are Leads.
Here are definitions of both record types:
- Prospect - a record that has not yet responded to your marketing.
- Example: say you build a list of 1,000 Vacant Properties in Denver using the Lead Finder tool in FreedomSoft. This would be 1,000 prospects as none of them have yet to respond to your marketing.
- Lead - a record that has responded to your marketing.
- Example: say you send direct mail to the list of 1,000 vacant properties in Denver and one of them calls you back and leaves a voicemail saying they would like to sell their property. This would be a lead generated from your direct mail marketing effort.
In FreedomSoft, prospects live in Lists and leads live in Campaigns.
When you use the Lead Finder tool, you'll always create a new list or update an existing one.
When you import seller or buyer records, you'll always import into a List.
In order for records to live in Campaigns in FreedomSoft, they must have responded to your marketing in some way; inbound phone call, inbound text message, web form submission, inbound email, Zapier, etc...
What this does is maintain the integrity of the Leads Inbox in FreedomSoft which only contains inbound leads and not prospects.
