By default, FreedomSoft sends automated SMS messages from the phone number used during the most recent communication with the lead.
This behavior helps maintain conversation continuity by ensuring messages continue from the number the lead already recognizes, even after the lead has been assigned to a workspace.
Option 2: Controlling Campaign Workspace Number
If you enable the Controlling Campaign Workspace Number option, automated SMS messages will instead be sent from the phone number assigned to the workspace that controls the lead.
For example:
- A lead enters a campaign.
- The lead is automatically distributed to a workspace.
- The workspace becomes the controlling workspace for that lead.
- All future automated SMS messages are sent from that workspace's phone number.
This setting is ideal when each team member or workspace should manage conversations using their own assigned phone number.
