Opt-Out settings control the default behavior of including or not including "Opt-Out" language on outgoing text messages throughout FreedomSoft.
Providing the opt-out text means those who opt-out will be less likely to generate complaints that could negatively impact your SMS/text sending capabilities in FreedomSoft.
These settings are turned ON by default. To edit, follow the steps below.
Go to the Settings page in your FreedomSoft account, click Phone on the left side of the screen and then click the "Opt-Out" tab that you see pictured below.
The 4 areas of control are detailed below:
- SMS Broadcasts/Click-2-Call Dialer - Leaving the opt out language On for this feature will append the language to every SMS/text message sent from the Click-2-Call Dialer feature in FreedomSoft. To learn more about using the Click-2-Call Dialer, click HERE.
- SMS Follow-Up - Leaving the opt out language On for this feature will append the language to every sms/text message sent via the follow up system in FreedomSoft.
- Communications - Leaving the opt out language On for this feature will append the language to the first SMS/text message that you send to a number which is required by the US based phone carriers. Note that all message sent after the first message will not have the opt out language added as it's only required on the first message.
- Auto - Reply - Leaving the opt out language On for this feature will append the language to every Call or Text auto reply message that gets sent. You can set up these messages on the Phone page in Settings for each of your FreedomSoft phone numbers. To learn more about setting up phone numbers, click HERE.
