Custom Fields

Overview

Have information that you would like to save, but can't find a default FreedomSoft field for it? Use Custom Fields to add any fields that you need to your Buyer, Seller and Contact databases. To get started navigate over to Setup > Custom Fields and click the Add Custom Field button. From there you will enter the following:

  • Module - Select which database you want this custom field to appear in: Seller, Buyer or Contact
  • Section - Which section of the database do you want this custom field to appear in. As you select a section a small image on the right will indicate
  • Label - Name your custom field
  • Type - Select a field type so FreedomSoft will know what type of data you will be entering in this field. The options are:

After clicking the Save Changes button your new field will appear in all of your Seller, Buyer and Contact databases.

Arrange Custom Fields

After you add your custom fields you can arrange them within a section by navigation to Setup > Custom Fields and clicking the Arrange Custom Fields button.

Select your Module/database and then the Section that contains the custom fields that you want to arrange. Custom fields will be in black font color. FreedomSoft system fields will be in grey italic font and can not be arranged:

Simply drag the custom fields to where you want them and click the Save Changes button:
